i read for a while nearly every night before sleep claims me, and tonight's selection is "the code of the woosters" by p.g. wodehouse. i'm almost done with this delightful work of fiction, which means it's time for some non: "the omnivore's dilemma" is next.
tonight, we went to a small art exhibition at the fremont coffee house, and then ate too much thai food at one of the many thai eateries in fremont--it is, apparently, known for them.
okay, so this is one of my pet peeves at the office: some team has catering prepare a spread outside the meeting room, because it is too hard to put food inside a meeting room. then for the next four hours, 150 employees have to walk past, but not eat, the delicious food as they navigate around the tables blocking the hallway. on the plus side: k made me a delicious lunch today, so i am not jealous!
i went to the eye doctor today. he said my eyes were fine but my vision had worsened just a tiny bit. it does this almost every year now!
reed wins an award for bringing nutella to my house when i asked what went well with pretzels. reed also plays the electric guitar. good job reed!
in lot waiting to pick k up from the bus stop; the days are just long enough that there is a faint glow left in the sky now that wasn't there last night.
so this is k and i watching super bowl commercials in high definition and three dimensions! also we just saw a 100 yard play; that is cool enough to wear shades about.
today i made an egg scramble while k was away, and this afternoon stripey sunlight poured through the blinds and for a few minutes it looked like spring.
that's right, friends! burger king makes you fat and i have PROOF. (i found this scrawled on a whiteboard i almost never visit and wish i could have witnessed the conversation that lead to this thorough analysis.)
