Peach-basil crisp.

There are many days when i sit down to eat dinner and immediately feel like an unfairly blessed man, and today was one of those days. Kelly had partially hollowed out fresh summer squash from the farm down the road and filled it with bulgar, feta, and almonds; she served it with a salad filled with kale, chard, wild rice, fennel, and spicy edible flowers. After dinner, she and a friend whipped up some peach jam and a crisp containing peaches and basil, of all things, and topped it with freshly whipped cream. Just another weeknight at the McPherson family home.

About

hi, i'm jonathan! i am a software engineer and amateur photographer living in redmond, washington (you may, correctly, guess the large corporation that pays my mortgage).

i post one photo here every day, which documents my life, or my friends' lives, or what i ate for lunch. these photos are taken with an aging cellular telephone and completely untouched.

think of it as a stream-of-consciousness sort of thing.
