Today i spent a long time in the yard, almost six hours sifting and shoveling dirt, sorting out rocks and weeds, mixing peat moss with native hard soil, backfilling the retaining wall. it's been more than a year since i started this project and so it brought untold joy to my heart to finally tell kelly that the new bed was ready to plant. Here she is inserting the first seed into the waiting soil. It will become a carrot.

About

hi, i'm jonathan! i am a software engineer and amateur photographer living in redmond, washington (you may, correctly, guess the large corporation that pays my mortgage).

i post one photo here every day, which documents my life, or my friends' lives, or what i ate for lunch. these photos are taken with an aging cellular telephone and completely untouched.

think of it as a stream-of-consciousness sort of thing.
